THE PLEASURES OF GARDA
Pursuing flavors and aromas of a gastronomic proposal that suggests the best of a territory where the alpine environment is softened and turns into Mediterranean.
WINE
Garda Classico Chiaretto: This is certainly the most original and characteristic wine of the territory, unique in its pleasant characteristics, obtained from the red grapes of the Garda Classico red, but vinified in order to obtain a pink "rose petal" colored wine. Lugana Doc: This wine comes from a vineyard classified Trebbiano Lugana which grows on a terrain of a remote glacial origin and consists of a varied combination of layered clay, predominantly limestone, and is rich in minerals.
Chiaretto is obtained by vinification in "pink" of the grapes, that is, with the traditional method with partial contact of must and skins.
OIL
Extra virgin olive oil P.D.O.
Among the PDO recognitions (Protected Designation of Origin) issued by the European Union for European quality food, there is also the oil of Garda. The Garda oil, of ancient and famous tradition, is produced in the most northerly position in the world thanks to the Lake Garda microclimate. This climatic situation makes it almost always immune to parasites.
CHEESE
The old dairy tradition continues today through the production of "Formaggella di Tremosine", a soft cheese, and "Garda", a semi-soft cheese of semi-hard texture and semi-cooked that, depending on its age, can be consumed in slices or grated. In the period of pasture in Cima Rest in Valvestino, it is produced by a handful of the "Tombea" cheese makers. It is a mountain cheese with incomparable characteristics. It is 'much appreciated for its gastronomic qualities and its genuineness.
“Grana Padano” is made following a millennial recipe, guaranteed by a product specification. Semi-fat, hard cheese of finely granule texture, fragrant aroma and smooth taste, never spicy. It is considered the world's best-selling PDO cheese.
